Verena Leo is an interdisciplinary artist and a designer with a strong interest in the study of movement, the experience of time and the perception of spatial relations. Photography and drawing are important tools during the creative process and an integral part of her work. In 2011 she won a bursary for further studies in her field. It allowed her to work more intensively with dancers and to deepen her understanding of choreography and design in a contemporary context. Over the years she designed costumes and sets for various dance, theatre and short film productions. Her work and interest lays in interdisciplinary research and collaboration projects within the artistic, social, environmental and scientific field.

Verena Leo arbeitet unter anderem als freischaffende Künstlerin, Fotografin und Kostüm-/Bühnenbildnerin mit Schwerpunkt Tanz. 2011 erhielt sie den Thuner Kulturförderpreis, der ihr ermöglichte als Teil ihrer interdisziplinaren Recherchen sich vertieft mit Tanz und dessen choreografischen Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten zu befassen. Ihre Arbeit und ihr Interesse liegt in Recherchen und Austausch Projekten im künsterlischen, sozialen, wissenschaftlichen und Umwelt- Bereich.
